About Neihoff Legal Services - Professional Paralegal & Notary

Professionalism, Trust, and Flexibility

Behind every successful trial attorney is a meticulous, detail-oriented paralegal who thrives in the paperwork trenches.

Illinois-based freelance virtual paralegal specializing in family law litigation, advanced legal research, civil discovery, and Social Security Administration (SSA) disability case prep.

Based in Central Illinois, I partner with solo practitioners and small law firms to help them clear administrative bottlenecks, meet tight deadlines, and maximize their billable hours—all without the fixed overhead, benefits, or training demands of a full-time employee.r experienced paralegal and notary professionals prioritize your legal requirements with honesty and flexibility. We work closely with each client to ensure dependable service that fits your schedule and standards.

My Professional Core Philosophy

I believe that a great virtual paralegal should be seamless. My goal is to plug into your practice management systems (like Clio, MyCase, or Smokeball) so naturally that you forget I am working remotely.

Whether I am conducting a deep-dive case law research memo to ground your Motion to Dismiss, chronologically indexing a massive 600-page medical record file for an SSA appeal, or acts as a compassionate, professional gatekeeper guiding your stressed family law clients through asset collection—I handle the operational heavy lifting so you can focus entirely on your courtroom strategy and oral arguments.

About Me

I enjoy reading and writing and spending time with my children and grandchildren.

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Legal Studies as well as a Legal Assistant Training Program Certificate from the University of Illinois. My professional background spans over two decades as a paralegal, during which I gained extensive experience working alongside attorneys in a variety of legal fields including civil matters, family law, estate planning, social security disability, and personal injury.

My career began at a small law firm, where I developed foundational legal skills. I later transitioned to corporate law, broadening my understanding of legal processes in a corporate environment. Following that, I returned to a medium-sized law firm, further expanding my expertise. Eventually, I chose to pursue freelance paralegal work, offering my services independently.

While living in Kentucky, I became a Certified Kentucky Paralegal and was an active member of the Western Kentucky Paralegal Association, contributing to the professional community and maintaining high standards in my field.
